“[Bradshaw’s music is] rhythmically sharp and nervous. It reminds me of Lukas Foss in his neoclassic phase… [In Argersinger's Dream of Venus] Wood and Councell's synchronization astounded me. I have no idea how they locked on. It's a beautiful, poetic piece, rare, may I add, in its genre… Peter Wolf plays with real musical understanding, and he's lucky in his collaborators.”
Steve Schwartz, ClassicalNet - August 2011
"Wood is a tasteful player with a consistently full, pure, and pleasant tone quality. This is a fine program, well prepared and executed."
American Record Guide - March / April 2007
Wood earned the Doctor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance and Literature at Indiana University-Bloomington, the Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Bachelor of Science in Music Education degree (Summa Cum Laude) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His principal trumpet teachers include Stephen Burns, Edmund Cord, John Aley, Ray Sasaki, Michael Tunnell, and Patrick Dessent.
