Yuki
and Tomoko Mack emigrated
to the United States as children. They received recognition
as soloists while studying with Flavio Varani and Joyce Adelson at Oakland
University and with Louis Nagel at the University of Michigan. In 1994,
they melded their artistry into an award- winning piano duo. Hailed for
the power and virtuosity of their playing, the Duo has dazzled audiences
in Japan, Poland, Sweden, Canada and the United States. In 1998, the sisters
were awarded First Prize and Kodama Prize at the Fourth International
Piano Duo Competition in Tokyo. Yuki and Tomoko have also been prize
winners at the Ellis Two-Piano Competition and the Murray Dranoff
International Two-Piano Competition in Florida. They have been featured
artists in the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival in Michigan, Symposium
for Two Pianos in Florida and the Quebec International Two-Piano
Festival in Canada. Yuki & Tomoko
have been heard on PBS live from the Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series
in Chicago. A highly acclaimed album, "Rhapsody", was released
in 1997.
