Joseph Addeo possesses a full lyric tenor that shines in Italian opera and song literature. He has performed the leading tenor roles in most of the standard repertoire including La Boheme, Cavalleria Rusticana, Lucia di Lamermoor, Rigoletto, Tosca, Carmen, Die Fledermaus, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, Madama Butterfly, Don Giovanni, Martha and many others. His operatic debut was made as Don Jose in Carmen with Lake George Opera

Mr. Addeo's affinity and love for Italian Opera and song comes from his close association with his family. The family business, an Italian bakery, was a meeting place for Sunday afternoon dinners where relatives and friends from Italy would sing songs from the "old country." He is happy to be carrying on this tradition with this, his first CD of Italian songs, "Le favolose canzoni di Napoli."
