Shayne
Doty has performed
extensively throughout the United States, Canada and France. As a solo artist he
has played at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, the Palm Beach
Festival, Church of St Ignatius Loyola, St Thomas Church in New York City, St
Paul's Church in Toronto, Saint-Denis in Paris, Saint-Sernin in Toulouse and at
the University of Buffalo (NY). He was a featured young artist at the 1992
National Convention of the American Guild of Organists. As an ensemble artist,
he has performed with the Washington Bach Consort, the Dallas Bach Society, the
Winston-Salem Symphony, the North Carolina Symphony, Paul Hillier's Theatre of
Voices and Les Arts Florissants. With Les Arts Florissants, Mr. Doty toured
Europe and made a recording of works by Mondonville. He has studied at Duke
University, the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon, and
at the Southern Methodist University. This
is one of relatively few commercially available recital recordings of a von
Beckerath organ
in the United States.
